The 1920s Immersive Portrait Experience
19th & 20th September 2026
Rossington Hall
Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England
Â
Step back into the roaring twenties with your camera and experience a day and night in a Victorian manor, where you can capture, celebrate, and immerse yourself in the last true golden era.
"Arrive as a guest. Leave as a published photographer."
Description
Come and photograph the 1920s at Rossington Hall.
This immersive portrait experience gives you the opportunity to work with six professionally styled models across six cinematic scenes inside a historic Victorian manor. With only two photographers per scene, you’ll rotate throughout the day, giving you the time and space to shoot without pressure and focus on creating strong, intentional images.
Everything is taken care of for you, including lighting, guidance, props, food, drinks, and overnight accommodation in the Hall. The experience includes high tea lunch, an evening dinner, and breakfast the following morning, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the setting from arrival through to departure.
The workshop runs across two groups, from Saturday to Sunday and Sunday to Monday, with 12 photographers in each group. There is also the option to bring a guest, join both days for a deeper experience, or add an optional intimate night photoshoot.

What to Bring
You don’t need a full kit to take part.
Everything is already prepared for you, including lighting, props, styling, makeup, and scene setup. You can simply arrive with your camera and start shooting.
A camera and a couple of lenses are more than enough. For flexibility, you might consider a 35mm or 50mm for natural portraits, an 85mm for classic portrait work, or a 24–70mm zoom for versatility.
There’s no need to bring everything. Work with what you’re comfortable using.
If you’d like to bring additional gear or explore rental options, we’re happy to help in advance.
